Transfer a Personal Paid Team to an Organization

If you accidentally created a paid team under your personal account and want to move it to an Organization, you can do so using the Transfer In feature.

This process will transfer both the team and its subscription to the target organization.

How to Transfer a Personal Team to an Organization

Make sure you are the Owner of the target Organization.

Go to Organization → Teams.

Click Transfer In in the top-right corner.

Select the personal team you want to transfer.

Confirm the transfer.

Once completed, the team and its paid plan will belong to the Organization.

Important Notes Before Transferring

⚠️ Only one subscription is allowed per Organization

An Organization cannot have multiple subscriptions at the same time.

If the Organization already has:

a trial subscription, or

another active paid subscription
you must cancel or remove it before performing the transfer.

If multiple subscriptions exist, the transfer may fail with errors such as “Server error” or transfer not allowed.

Transfer Failed? Try These Steps

If the transfer fails even though the setup looks correct:

Refresh the page and try again

Wait a few minutes and retry (backend changes may take time to take effect)

Try performing the transfer using the Apidog Web App

Ensure you are logged in as the Organization Owner

If the issue persists, please contact support with:

Team ID

Organization ID

Common Scenarios

Q: I created a team as a personal team by mistake. Can I move it to my organization?
Yes. Use Transfer In to move the team and its subscription to the Organization.

Q: Will the paid plan be transferred as well?
Yes. The subscription is transferred automatically together with the team.

Q: Why does the transfer fail even though I followed the steps?
Most failures are caused by the Organization already having another subscription (trial or paid).
